The celebrated architect Thomas Baldwin created Great Pulteney Street in 1789, using the famous honey-coloured Bath Stone. Today, the hotel still retains many beautiful original Georgian features, with large rooms with high ceilings and large sliding sash windows. There are 31 uniquely furnished and individually heated rooms, all of which are en suite with either a bath or shower, or more often both. A continental buffet breakfast and a full traditional cooked English breakfast is included in the price. There is also a computer for public use in the hotel's lounge, which is free of charge.
