This fine Grade II listed Georgian town house provides 4-star guest accommodation in small, historic Amesbury, just off the A303 and less than 2 miles (3.2 km) from Stonehenge. Fairlawn House has a convenient location from which to explore all that the region has to offer. Salisbury is only 8 miles (13 km) away and the city of Bath is 40 miles (65 km) from the house. The house still retains many of its attractive original features, including a wonderful curved staircase and a rare internal wind vane. Over the last year, the present owners have restored the house to some of its original glory. The lounge and licensed bar area have been completely refurbished, providing a beautiful, comfortable area for guests to relax in and browse through the library of guidebooks and local tourist information. All rooms are en suite, with flat-screen TVs and tea/coffee-making facilities. Fairlawn is family-run and the owners take great pride in providing a friendly and professional service. |
